The second and third batches of content, to be released respectively this Winter 2017 and next Spring 2018, will both feature one exclusive playable guest character from other videogames’ licenses with, each time, a special stage and special costumes for these guest characters.īandai Namco also handle a lot of anime games, most of which are fighters. They really have been pretty vague about it. When it comes to the biggest Japanese fighting games at the moment we could be looking at King of Fighters, Dead or Alive, or Guilty Gear too. But will they really want to double down on Street Fighter? It’s also not impossible we might see another Street Fighter character join Tekken 7 alongside Akuma, given how closer the Tekken and Street Fighter producers, Katsuhiro Harada and Yoshinori Ono respectively, are to one another. Soul Calibur V, the last entry in the series, came out about 5 years ago, so it would be nice to see someone from the series make a comeback in Tekken. Soul Calibur could be a realistic front-runner, as Project Soul’s series is traditionally published by Bandai Namco.
